DOF has invested in a modular cable repair spread to accelerate offshore wind uptime.
DOF has invested in a modular offshore wind cable repair spread designed to be deployed across its fleet of 65 vessels.
The system, co-developed with Royal IHC, can be mobilized and commissioned within 48 hours via 12 lifting operations. It includes a compact quadrant handler, tensioner, roller tables and over-boarding chute.
It follows completion of a subsea cable repair project for a major operator in the Dutch North Sea last year, in which DOF deployed its owned vessels and existing repair spread to restore service.
DOF has multiple frame agreements with offshore wind operators in Europe, the US and the APAC region.
