HAREID, Norway — DOF Subsea has contracted Ulmatec Handling Systems to supply three launch and recovery systems (LARS) for DOF’s ROV service projects.
Two of the systems will be installed on a vessel about to start operating in the Gulf of Mexico, with the third to be delivered to the Skandi Hercules for operations in the Pacific Ocean.
Ulmatec says its LARS systems are designed to work in harsh weather in ultradeepwater areas over long periods of time. They are electrical and can be quickly mobilized onboard other vessels in other projects, if needed.
The company has also received an order for two new AHC LARS systems from C-Innovation, which will represent its 39th and 40th systems for this client since the companies began their collaboration more than 10 years ago.
