LIVORNO, Italy — The first phase has been completed of a maintenance campaign on the FSRU Toscana terminal, according to OLT Offshore LNG Toscana.

The terminal, normally stationed offshore western Italy, had been in Genoa since April. It was then towed north, with the support of three tugs, to Marseille to undergo replacement of a bearing of the mooring system.

This arrangement is designed to ensure rotation of the terminal around its geostationary turret.

FSRU Toscana will remain at Chantier Naval de Marseille of San Giorgio del Porto until the replacement activities finish, probably in mid-September.

It will then be transported back to Livorno for re-installation at the offshore site, and it should resume re-gas operations by the end of October.
