Jumbo adds crane extension for Erha module installation

Jumbo Offshore has completed a module installation on the Erha FPSO offshore Nigeria for Mobil Producing Nigeria.

SCHIEDAM, the Netherlands – Jumbo Offshore has completed a module installation on the ErhaFPSO offshore Nigeria for Mobil Producing Nigeria.
The company deployed theJumbo Javelin vessel for the campaign, equipped with a 16-m (52-ft), 700-ton SWL fly-jib that had been installed in Singapore.
This provided additional lifting height when mounted on the vessel’s forward crane.
From there the sailed to Lagos to load the 100-ton calcium nitrate injection vessel module.
After reaching the offshore location, the vessel executed the lift on the deck of the FPSO. The specially designed bumpering and tugger arrangements ensured the module landed precisely in its intended position, Jumbo said.
