OSLO, Norway – Aqualis Offshore has positioned the jackup Deep Driller 8 alongside a wellhead platform offshore eastern India. This marked the company’s 2,000th rig move.

Rodger Dickson, Group Marine Director, said: “In recent years, we have been averaging approximately 500 jackup rig moves per year globally.

“This highlights that demand continues for our clients’ highly attractive drilling units, and numbers are indicative that offshore activity is picking up.”

TheDeep Driller 8 is a KFELS Super B class, self-elevating, cantilever, independent leg, jackup owned and operated by Aban Singapore.
