SINGAPOREKeppel Shipyard will fabricate a new aft hull for an FPSO for an unnamed floating production vessel operator.

The yard will be responsible for design of the aft hull, procurement of equipment, outfitting, integration and commissioning work on board the vessel, with the installation include a new accommodation block for up to 140 personnel.

Work on the FPSO, which is at the shipyard in preparation for the upgrade, is due to start in 1Q 2019 with delivery anticipated by the end of 2020.

Recently Golar Gimi issued the yard with a limited notice to proceed with early conversion works for theGimi FLNG over a four-month period, under a program valued at up to S$50 million ($36.5 million).

The vessel will supportPhase 1 of the Greater Tortue/Ahmeyim project offshore Mauritania/Senegal.
