Aibel to prepare Atlanta FPSO for redeployment offshore Brazil

    Teekay has contracted Aibel’s shipyard in Haugesund to prepare the FPSO Petrojarl I for redeployment at the Atlanta oil field offshore Brazil.

    HAUGESUND, Norway– Teekay has contracted Aibel’s shipyard in Haugesund to prepare the FPSOPetrojarl I for redeployment at the Atlanta field offshore Brazil.

    ThePetrojarl I is expected to arrive at the yard by the end of the month and to remain docked for about one month. The scope includes commissioning and reactivation. 

    The 215-m (705-ft) long, 32-m (105-ft) wide vessel has a production capacity of 30,000 b/d of oil.

    Located in block BS-4 in the Santos basin, Atlanta is a postsalt oil field, 185 km (115 mi) offshore Rio de Janeiro in a water depth of 1,500 m (4,921 ft). First oil is expected in 1Q 2018.
