Offshore staff

HAMILTON, Bermuda -- Seadrill has been awarded a letter of intent for use of a newbuild jackup by a consortium of five operators for an assignment in Australia.

The intended contract has a duration of 310 days, including mobilization and demobilization periods. Estimated contract value is $85 million.

TheWest Triton jackup rig is under construction in Malaysia. Startup of operations is scheduled in 1Q 2008.
