Eirik Raude in transit to the US Gulf of Mexico

STAVANGER, Norway -- Ocean Rig ASA's Eirik Raude semisubmersible is in transit to the US Gulf of Mexico after completing the five-year class work in Marystown, Newfoundland, Canada.

Ocean Rig owns and operates two of the world's largest and most modern drilling rigs, built for ultra deepwater and extreme weather conditions.

TheLeiv Eiriksson is operating offshore Angola, and the Eirik Raude is in transit to a job in the GoM.
