Seadrill secures letter of intent for deepwater newbuild

HAMILTON, Bermuda -- Seadrill has secured a letter of intent by an international operator for one of the newbuild deepwater units under construction in Korea/Singapore.
The contract has a firm duration of five years and an estimated contract value of $970 million, including the mobilization fee, Seadrill says.
