Offshore staff

SKUDENESHAVN, Norway --Saipem UK has issued a letter of intent to Solstad Offshore for four platform supply vessels to support pipelay operations.

Under the agreement, Saipm will take theNorman Aurora, Norman Carrier, and Normand Flipper for pipe transport duties in the Mediterranean Sea, probably starting next summer.

During 2009-12, these vessels and theNormand Vester also will work for Saipem in the Baltic Sea and the North Sea. The total estimated contract period is around 3,500 days firm, with options for a further 1,500 days.
