Offshore staff

OSLO, Norway -- PetroMENA ASA subsidiary PetroRig IV AS will acquire semisubmersible drilling rig SS Petrolia from Petrolia Drilling ASA for $225 million.

The rig is in transit from the North Sea to the Gulf of Mexico where it will embark on a 913-day contract with Pemex valued at $269 million. It is expected to arrive in the GoM in Dec. 2007.

PetroMENA says it believes this contract with Pemex will help build its presence in the region.
