Havila orders two vessels

OSLO, Norway --Havila Shipping ASA is set to take 100% ownership of the anchor handling tug KS Havila Neptun.

The Havyard 842 design AHTS is under construction at the Havyard Leirvik shipyard in Norway, and should be delivered early next year. It is 75 m (246 ft) long, with 17,500 HP engine power, and bollard pull of around 200 metric tons (220 tons).

Havila Shipping's subsidiary in Singapore has contracted another Norwegian yard, Fjellstrand Verft, for a new platform supply vessel, namedHavyard 832 CD. This will be 80.4 m (264 ft) long, with a breadth of 17.6 m (57.75 ft) and a deck area of 805 sq m (8,665 sq ft). It should be delivered in fall 2009.
