MISC wins Vietnamese FPSO contract

KUALA LUMPU, Malaysia -- MISC Bhd. has secured an eight-year FPSO contract in Vietnam effective next March. The company will be joined by Vietnam's Petroleum Technical Services Corp. to supply the FPSO to PC Vietnam Ltd.
PC Vietnam Ltd. is executing an oil development project in blocks 01 and 02, 155 km (96 mi) east of Vung Tau in southern Vietnam.
MISC subsidiary Malaysia Marine and Heavy Engineering Sdn. Bhd. (MMHE) will convert a vessel into an FPSO at its Pasir Gudang yard in southern Malaysia.
The vessel conversion is expected to cost $260-$290 million.
