Petra to acquire $31.6 million support vessel

KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia -- Petra Perdana Berhad subsidiary Perdana Venus Ltd. has signed a memorandum of agreement with S K Line Co. Ltd. to purchase one new anchor handling/offshore support vessel.

The $31.6-million unit is scheduled for delivery by May 2008.

The vessel is part of Perdana's fleet renewal plan to provide marine support services to the offshore oil and gas facilities, Petra says.
