Havila signs newbuild contract

FOSNAVÅG, Norway -- Havila Shipping ASA has contracted Solstrand Verft for a newbuild platform supply vessel (PSV). Havila Shipping developed the vessel, Havyard 832 CD, in cooperation with Havyard Maritime.

The vessel has a length of 80.4 m (284 ft) and a breadth of 17.6 m (58 ft). The DP-2 vessel is scheduled for delivery in the summer of 2009.
