Awilco Offshore and ConocoPhillips have agreed to a one-year extension of the existing contract for the Port Rigmar accommodation unit at the Ekofisk field.

OSLO, Norway -- Awilco Offshore and ConocoPhillips have agreed to a one-year extension of the existing contract for the Port Rigmar accommodation unit at the Ekofisk field. The contract extension is from Oct. 1, 2008, to Oct. 1, 2009, and has a contract value of approximately $55 million.
The Port Rigmar is docked in Holland for class work and upgrading and is expected to return to the Ekofisk field in early Oct. 2007.
