ABERDEEN, UK --Nexen Petroleum UK has contracted the standby vessel Ocean Swan to support its North Sea operations for up to three years.

The $6.18 million vessel is the latest addition to the 10-strong fleet of Ocean Mainport Group in Aberdeen, acquired earlier this year from Havila Shipping.

The fleet operates in UK and Norwegian waters, although theOcean Swan has been registered under the UK flag, and is equipped with daughter craft and fast rescue craft.

Ferguson Shipbuilders in Glasgow handled much of the recent conversion work on the vessel.
