MacGregor hauls in deck machinery order

GOTHENBURG, Sweden -- MacGregor has won a second order for deck machinery from Niigata Shipbuilding & Repair. The equipment is for a series of bollard-pull offshore anchor-handlers.

Each deck machinery package features electro-hydraulic drive main winches, with a 200-metric ton (221-ton) line pull and 300-metric ton (331-ton) brake holding power. Also included are a service crane, a 300-metric ton (331-ton) SWL sharkjaw towpin, and a stern roller which uses a taper roller bearing instead of the conventional bush bearing type.
