Aker lands $213-million drilling equipment deals

LYSAKER, Norway –Aker Kværner has won two drilling equipment supply contracts from Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering Co. Ltd. totaling $213 million. Aker Kværner MH will supply, install, and commission two drilling equipment packages for a drillship and a semisubmersible.

The semi rig is scheduled for delivery in 3Q 2010 and the drillship for delivery in 4Q 2010.
