OSLO, Norway -- The Songa Saturn drillship left the Tuzla yard in Istanbul, Turkey, Dec. 30 and is in the western Mediterranean on its way to Spain. The ship will stop over in Algeciras for four days in mid-January to undergo final installation and testing.

The Songa Mercur is at the Keppel Benoi Shipyard in Singapore. Massive monsoon rainfalls throughout December slowed upgrade work, which has resulted in an adjusted schedule. The departure date from the yard is now set for Feb. 5. Required inclination test, final acceptance test, and load-out will take place before the rig gets under tow for Australia on Feb. 12.
