Bergen Group to completion YME jackup assembly

BERGEN, Norway -- Single Buoy Moorings (SBM) has contracted Bergen Group Rosenberg for platform construction services on the Yme project in the Norwegian North Sea.

Under a letter of intent, Bergen Group Rosenberg will provide assistance during completion of the YME MOPU Stor (mobile offshore production Unit with storage) jackup platform.

The platform, which will be operated by Talisman Energy Norge, is close to completion in Abu Dhabi, and should sail into Norwegian waters in May. On arrival at Bergen Group Rosenberg, the jackup legs and other equipment will be installed. The platform will then be towed to the Yme location for offshore hook-up and completion, due to be completed in July.
