West Gemini to work offshore Africa

Seadrill has received a two-year, $345-million contract from an international E&P operator for the ultra deepwater drillship West Gemini.

HAMILTON, Bermuda -- Seadrill has received a two-year, $345-million contract from an international E&P operator for the ultra deepwater drillship West Gemini. The contract has a one-year extension option.

West Gemini, currently under construction, is expected to be completed in July. The vessel will relocate from Korea to West Africa for the new contract.
