Total ties up rig for NW Shelf

LIMASSOL, Cyprus -- Songa Offshore has signed a firm drilling contract with Total E&P Australia for use of theSonga Venus rig on Australia’s North West Shelf.
The campaign comprises two firm wells plus one optional well. The firm part of the contract is expected to last between 110 and 140 days, and generate revenues of $30-40 million.
The contract will start following completion of the rig's current program for Shell Development (Australia).
