ABERDEEN, UK -- Helix Well Ops has contracted Electro-Flow Controls (EFC) to engineer and supply riser handling equipment and additional deck storage for the Well Enhancer. The $900,000-contract is to be delivered by EFC Mechanical Handling Solutions of Aberdeen.
"The result is supply of an additional deck structure which provides additional deck and storage space, whilst incorporating a boom rest and maintenance access for the vessel's main 100Te deck crane," says Bob Will, EFC managing director. "The design includes vertical storage and articulated riser handling arm."
"The new kit will ensure the safe and efficient deployment and recovery of equipment that is critical to theWell Enhancer's coil tubing operations," sayd Steve Nairn, Well Ops regional VP.
