Total extends West Africa FSO contracts

MONACO -- SBM Offshore has agreed to contract extensions with Total for two floating storage units in service off West Africa.
Total E&P Congo, as operator of the Nkossa license offshore Congo, has extended the lease and operate contract for the LPG FSO Nkossa II by between five and 10 years from November 2011, when the current lease expires.
The joint venture between A.P. Moller - Maersk Group (51%) and SBM Offshore (49%) will continue to execute this contract.
By the end of 2010, Total will decide on the fixed duration of this extension, with options for additional years up to a maximum lease extension period of 10 years.
On the shallow water Amenam field off Nigeria, Total has prolonged the operating contract for the FSO Unity by a year through June 30, 2011.
