PARIS – French shipyard Socarenam has delivered the Bourbon Supporter, the second of two new inspection, maintenance, and repair vessels built in Boulogne for Bourbon Offshore.
Bourbon Supporter is at work off Saudi Arabia on a two-year contract to support subsea seismic testing. The new DP-2 vessel, which features diesel-electric propulsion, is 76 m (249 ft) long and 19.5 m (64 ft) wide, and can accommodate 103 personnel.
Elsewhere, the Oceanteam Bourbon 4 joint venture has signed a long-term charter for the multi-purpose vesselBourbon Oceanteam 104 with Australian-based subsea contractor TS Marine.
The vessel, currently nearing completion in Denmark, will work chiefly for TS Marine in the Far East performing offshore field installation, maintenance, and decommissioning services.
It was built in Vigo, Spain, to DNV + 1A1, DYNPOS-AUTR, EO, DK (+) CLEAN DESIGN classification.Bourbon Oceanteam 104 has 2,400 sq m (25,833 sq ft) of available deck space and accommodation for 120 personnel. It is 137m (449 ft) long, and is equipped with a Hydramarine 250-t AHC primary subsea crane and a secondary Natoil 90-t AHC subsea crane.
