HAMILTON, Bermuda -- Seadrill announced Dec. 8 that it had received a letter of intent for the deepwater drillship West Navigator. The contract extension and alteration that was agreed upon did not secure approval from the Ormen Lange project partners.
West Navigator is now working for Shell on the Ormen Lange field. The vessel will be available for new assignments, pending completion of the current drilling program, early 2009.
