STAVANGER, Norway -- Prosafe has purchased the M/T Navarin a 276,830 DWT vessel built in 1989 at Hyundai Heavy Industries.

The purchase is a result of the company's observation of a strong demand for FPSOs in the industry. Prosafe believes the vessel is a very suitable candidate for several identified projects, the company said.

Prosafe owns and operates semisubmersible service rigs as well as a number of FPSs.
