(US, GoM) - Diamond Offshore expects to have its first semisubmersible rig upgraded from an 8-point to a 12-point mooring system by the end of June. The contractor's *I*Ocean Concord*I* will be the first of its GoM-based fleet to be fitted with the upgrade.

Pre-setting for the rig's additional four mooring lines is underway offshore. The rig is scheduled to undertake a one-well commitment with Kerr-McGee beginning in late June.

Diamond says it expects to have all of its GoM-based semisubmersible rigs equipped with an existing 8-point mooring system upgraded to a 12-point system by the end of August.
