NAERSNES, Norway -- TGS-Nopec Geophysical Co. ASA signed a charter agreement with BGP for the newly converted R/V BGP Pioneer 3D seismic vessel.
The vessel is in Singapore undergoing an upgrade to expand its workspace and towing capabilities, and to install state-of-the-art seismic equipment.
ThePioneer is expected to start working in January 2007 under the one-year agreement. There is an option to extend the contract for a second year.
TGS says it plans to use the vessel on its multi-client 3D projects in Africa and Europe.
