Statoil contracts for new supply vessel

STAVANGER, Norway -- Statoil has signed a five-year contract with DOF ASA for the new supply vessel Aker PSV 06 CD, currently under construction at Aker Yards in Brattvag, Norway.
Scheduled for delivery after 2Q08, the vessel will have a deck area of 1,000 sq m, a length of 95 m and will weigh 5,200 dwt. The vessel with have a double hull to protect the diesel and oil tanks.
