Mitsubishi and Petrobras have formed a 50/50 joint venture company that will own a 10,000-ft (3,048-m) deep class ultra deepwater drillship.

RIO DE JANEIRO -- Mitsubishi and Petrobras have formed a 50/50 joint venture company that will own a 10,000-ft (3,048-m) deep class ultra deepwater drillship. The vessel is scheduled for completion and delivery in June 2010 and will go on charter to an affiliate of Schahin Engenharia for work in Brazil and overseas.
