BUE Turkmenistan contracted for vessel operations

Malaysian Marine and Heavy Engineering (MMHE) has awarded Topaz Energy and Marine a $14-million contract to operate seven marine vessels in the Carigali field, offshore Turkmenistan.

MUTTRAH, Oman -- Malaysian Marine and Heavy Engineering (MMHE) has awarded Topaz Energy and Marine a $14-million contract to operate seven marine vessels in the Carigali field, offshore Turkmenistan. The one-year contract will be operated by BUE Turkmenistan, a Topaz Energy and Marine group company.

Under the contract, BUE Turkmenistan will deploy modern and high-specification marine vessels worth over $60 million to transport and support the installation of the topside and pipelay foundation from the Magtymguly collector riser (MCR-A) to an onshore gas terminal. The vessels include three anchor handling tug supply vessels (AHTS), two barges for pipelay support, one fast crew boat, and one towing vessel.
