MIS initiates latest UAE rig

SHARJAH, UAE -- Maritime Industrial Services (MIS) has laid the keel for Hull 110, the second of two drilling jackups ordered by Bahrain’s First Energy Bank.

Noble Denton Middle East represents the bank on the project management, with a team at MIS’ yard in Sharjah executing plan approval and construction supervision.

Hull 110 is scheduled for delivery in December 2010. This and Hull 109, the other jackup contracted to the bank, are the sixth and seventh jackups to be built at the yard.
