Diamond Offshore Drilling has acquired the newbuild semisubmersible PetroRig 1 from Jurong Shipyard.

HOUSTON -- Diamond Offshore Drilling has acquired the newbuild semisubmersible PetroRig 1 from Jurong Shipyard. The sale is expected to close on June 25. Diamond believes there are multiple opportunities to employ the rig.
