Jackup Sapphire Driller contracted for West Africa drilling

HOUSTON – Vantage Drilling’s jackup Sapphire Driller has been contracted for a three-to-six month drilling program in West Africa. The contract is scheduled to begin in August following construction and commissioning activities in Singapore and mobilization to West Africa.
The unnamed client has signed a second contract with Vantage for an ultra-premium jackup rig for a 2011 drilling program in West Africa with an estimated duration of six to 12 months.
