Lamprell awarded multiple construction, refurbishment contracts

Saipem has awarded Lamprell an $18.1-million contract for the construction of six process modules, piperack sections, and interconnecting pipe spools for the Aquila Phase 2 FPSO project.

SHARJAH, UAE– Saipem has awarded Lamprell an $18.1-million contract for the construction of six process modules, piperack sections, and interconnecting pipe spools for the Aquila Phase 2 FPSO project. The modules will be constructed at Lamprell's Jebel Ali facility and are scheduled for completion in November 2010.

Noble International has awarded Lamprell a $20.4-million contract for the fabrication and installation of three, 309-ft (94-m) legs for the jackup David Tinsley, in addition to general refurbishment and upgrade works already underway to repair the hull, leg wells, and jacking houses. The work has begun at Lamprell’s Hamriyah facility and is scheduled for completion in July 2010.

Transocean Investments has awarded Lamprell a contract for the upgrade and refurbishment of the jackup Key Manhattan. The project will be executed at the Nauta Lamjana shipyard in Croatia. The initial contract value is $13.4 million and the work scope includes extensive steel renewals and associated painting works, structural repairs to the cantilever and derrick, and the replacement of hull piping systems. The work will begin this month and is scheduled for completion in December.
