Eidesvik Offshore takes delivery of Viking Poseidon

Eidesvik Offshore has taken delivery of the vessel M/V Viking Poseidon from Ulstein Verft.

BOMLO, Norway -- Eidesvik Offshore has taken delivery of the vessel M/V Viking Poseidon from Ulstein Verft.
The vessel is a large subsea construction vessel, type SX SX121 with the ULSTEIN X-BOW design. The vessel can accommodate 105 people, and is equipped with two moonpools, a 250-ton (227-metric ton) active-heave compensated offshore crane, ROV-hangar, diesel-electric machinery, and helicopter deck.
The vessel will begin an eight-year contract with Veolia ES Special Services once sea trials of the offshore crane are completed.
