Boskalis boosts long-distance offshore transport fleet

Royal Boskalis Westminster has agreed to acquire Fairmount Marine and Fairmount Ocean Towage Co. from Louis Dreyfus Armateurs.

PAPENDRECHT, the Netherlands – Royal Boskalis Westminster has agreed to acquire Fairmount Marine and Fairmount Ocean Towage Co. from Louis Dreyfus Armateurs.
Fairmount specializes in long-distance ocean towage services, operating five 205-metric ton (226-ton) bollard pull towingvessels with anchor handling capabilities.
Boskalis says the anchor handler/tugs will complement its dry heavy marine transport service (the company owns Dockwise), including offshore projects.
