Eidesvik Offshore enters into long-term charter for subsea vessel

Bømlo, Norway -- Eidesvik Offshore has entered into a long-term charter agreement with Veolia ES Special Services Inc, a subsidiary of Veolia ES Industrial Services Inc., for a subsea construction vessel. The vessel is under construction and scheduled for delivery in December 2008 from Ulstein Verft AS. The contract is for eight years with optional extensions.

The vessel is type SX SX121 with the Ulstein X-Bow design. It has accommodations for 105 people and it is equipped with two moonpools, a 250-ton (227-metric tons) active heave compensated crane, ROV hangar, diesel-electric machinery, and heliport.
