LONDON -- EnCore Oil has contracted ENSCO International's jackup ENSCO 70 to drill the appraisal program for the Breagh gas discovery on UK North Sea block 42/13. The drilling program is expected to begin in early July and includes two firm wells; one well on East Breagh and one well on West Breagh.
The original Breagh gas discovery was made in 1997 by well 42/13-2 and was successfully appraised in 2007 with well 42/13-3, which tested at rates up to 17.6 MMcf/d.
