BERLIN -- Island Offshore has awarded Rolls-Royce a $34 million follow-up order to design and equip a specialist well intervention vessel.
The new 130-m (427-ft) long UT 767CDL vessel, which will drill in ultra deep waters, offers single cabins for 97 crewmembers.
The vessel, to be delivered in 2011, will be built at Aker Yards in Langsten, Norway. In addition to design, Rolls-Royce will also deliver four main engines, propulsion, deck machinery, and automation systems.
