Eni books Transocean Marianas for two-year contract

A subsidiary of Eni has signed a two-year contract with Transocean for its deepwater moored semisubmersible Transocean Marianas.

HOUSTON -- A subsidiary of Eni has signed a two-year contract with Transocean for its deepwater moored semisubmersible Transocean Marianas. The contract is scheduled to begin in December 2009 following completion of the rig's existing contract commitments in the Gulf of Mexico.

Estimated contract revenues over the two-year contract period are approximately $412 million.
