West Berani II to drill offshore Angola

Cabinda Gulf Oil Co. (Chevron) has awarded Seadrill a $378 million contract for development drilling offshore Angola using the semi-tender rig West Berani II, which is currently under construction.

HAMILTON, Bermuda -- Cabinda Gulf Oil Co. (Chevron) has awarded Seadrill a $378 million contract for development drilling offshore Angola using the semi-tender rig West Berani II, which is currently under construction. The vessel's five-year contract will begin in 1Q 2010, subsequent to delivery from the yard.
