MacGREGOR to equip Fugro Symphony

Fugro Geoteam has awarded MacGREGOR a contract for two complete ROV launch-and-recovery handling systems.

HELSINKI, Finland -- Fugro Geoteam has awarded MacGREGOR a contract for two complete ROV launch-and-recovery handling systems.

The order comprises two overhead-mounted launch-and-recovery systems and two umbilical winch systems to be delivered in May 2010 to the company's new ROV support vesselFugro Symphony, which is expected to enter service in 3Q 2010.

In addition to the ROV launch-and-recovery systems,Fugro Symphony will also be equipped with a MacGREGOR Hydramarine 150-ton active heave compensated knuckle jib crane. It is capable of lowering large loads in up to 3,000 m (9,843 ft) water depth, and is due for delivery in November 2009.
