Offshore staff
ABERDEEN, UK -- Offshore maintenance and construction support group RBG is investing over $4.8 million in enhancements to its offshore diving fleet.
This company plans to add two purpose-built 15-m (49-ft) craft and two 8.5-m (28-ft) support craft, which will include launch and recovery systems, and facilities for air nitrox diving, ROV support and surveying.
The new craft will provide services to drilling rigs, platforms, and FPSOs.
RBG has also chartered the DSV Olympic Triton, which can be used to perform air nitrox diving operations from diver Launch and Recovery ‘A’ frames on the port side of the vessel.
Diving operations can also be executed out remotely from the vessel, using two MCA Category I and II craft, both with self-launch capability.
Additionally, the vessel can launch two work class ROVs from the port and starboard sides. Its main crane can lift 150 metric tons (165 tons) at 10 m (33 ft), 75 mt (82.6 t) at 20 m (65.6 ft), and 25 mt (27 t) at 35 m (115 ft).
