Aker awarded drillship equipment spread

OSLO, Norway – Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Equipment has awarded Aker Solutions a $98-million contract for a complete drilling equipment package.

This will be installed on a new deepwater drillship which will be owned and operated by Tungsten Explorer Co., a subsidiary of Vantage Drilling Co.

The equipment will mainly be delivered during 2012.
