Fjord signs for CLOV shipments

ROTTERDAM, the Netherlands -- Construction group DSME has contracted Fairstar Heavy Transport to transport FPSO components from Angola to South Korea for Total’s CLOV FPSO. The latter will eventually operate in Angolan deepwater block 17. The contract value is $4.8 million.

Fairstar’s open-stern semisubmersible vessel Fjord will transport the consignment at the end of 2011. In 2009, the company delivered two shipments to DSME for Total’s Pazflor FPSO project.

Following the CLOV assignment, the Fjord is due to start work on Chevron’s Gorgon project early in 2012.
