Hess extends North Sea South Arne support contract

Hess has renewed standby vessel operator Esvagt’s contract at the South Arne field in the Danish North Sea by a further 12 years.

ESBJERG, Denmark – Hess has renewed standby vessel operator Esvagt’s contract at the South Arne field in the Danish North Sea by a further 12 years.

The two parties have collaborated since 1999.Esvagt has provided supply and standby vessels for the South Arne platform and connecting tank vessels to Hess’ production tanks.

The new contract expands the scope of work to include service, maintenance, and inspection of the hose system and service vessel duties in connection with work on Hess’ unmanned platforms.

These operations, due to start in 2018, will be handled by one purpose-designed vessel.
